We use the open source project Drupal as the base for the sites we create. Drupal is special for a number of reasons. One of them is the modular way that it is built. Because Drupal is based on the idea of putting together building blocks its always easy to add new features to a site even after its been released.

Their need and our solution
Prima had tens of websites for channels and shows which were all running on different platforms. They needed to consolidate these sites into a single web platform. The single platform needed to support multiple domains and had to be able to share content between the various sites, themed to appear correctly for each site.
We created a content management system based on a single Drupal install that allows for content to be assigned to specific sites and subsites in a simple and consistent way. There is a shared image bank with custom crops that editors can choose from to easily add pictures to stories, no matter which site they will be shown on. The solution also makes it possible for Prima to add new sites for upcoming shows every season.
