Their need and our solution
The United States embassy in the Czech Republic runs a cultural center with the goal of helping Czechs understand more about American culture. They host a number of events, including presentations from former astronauts, discussions with high ranking politicians and film screenings. They also have an extensive library available. The center needed to find a way to inform the public about all the events and resources they are making available.
We realized that we would need to plan the center's site very carefully. Getting approval in a government agency often requires a lot of compromises and changes. To make sure that we wouldn't lose time redesigning major functionality we created site mockups that showed every page in great detail. While this required extra time during the planning phases, it saved countless hours during implementation.
